The piece is derived from the first colour sketches (circa 1972) of the mosaic floor for the Fountain "Signes of the Zodiac". The design reflect early conceptual vision of the Tengrian 12-year calendar - a symbolic system rooted in cycles, harmony and cosmic order - Vladimir Tverdokhlebov’s signature piece. Despite Tengrian philosophy was prohibited at the time, Vladimir's idea was subsequently commissioned and realised in monumental form in 1980 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and now reinterpreted in silk by the artist’s daughter Anara.
